Film Magazine Cover Analysis

Masthead: The mast head for this magazine cover is partially hidden behind the main image that is used, this is because the company that produces is very well known therefore common readers will know that the title of the magazine is 'Empire'. The word 'Empire' connotes that the this magazine is going to be dominant/better than all of the other film magazines. The colour red is used in the masthead, this could be linked in with the main image that is used which is about one of the latest films. The colour red connotes danger, which could be linked in with the genre of the film that is being displayed in the main image.
